It's certainly been a while since I've blogged. As you can imagine, I've had a lot going on.
We are finally out of the Navy Lodge and into our new Japanese home. Well…I am in our new home. The first night and every night since we moved in, I have been here alone with the dogs. Jon is currently deployed. It makes me really sad, but this is the life of a navy spouse. I feel lucky though that I have already met some wonderful people. Everyone is so helpful and nice here, it makes the adjustment so much easier than expected.
I'm obsessed with my house. I'm so happy the way things have come together. It already feels like a home. That could be because I'm a little OCD and I can't stand when boxes are laying around, so I HAVE to unpack them all. Haha.
One of my favorite things about living here is that there's always so much to do and so much history around you. There's even a shrine not even a mile from my house.
So far I'm loving it here. I wish my friends and family from home can visit one day to experience all of this. I know that they will love it.
For those of you who are friends with me on Facebook, you have already seen some of these pictures. I feel lucky that I've only been here a short amount of time and have already visited some amazing places; Tokyo, Yokohama, and Kamakura. I still have so many places on my list to visit.
Please bare with me and be patient if you follow my blog. I promise I'm going to try to update regularly, it's just been a little hectic lately. Now that my home is pretty much set up and I'm getting my bearings, it will be much better.
